How many calories in squid?
Squid is a favorite seafood. They eat it as a part of salads, and as an independent dish, and, of course, beer lovers enjoy eating dried squid as a snack. Let's see how many calories are in squid and whether this product can be abused.
Calorie fresh squid - 75 kcal per 100 grams
Not much, as you can see, however, because no one eats squid raw (at least in Russia), and the cooked squid already has other calorie parameters, and the cooking method is very important:
- boiled squids - 110 kcal per 100 grams;
- grilled squids - 107 kcal per 100 grams;
- fried squids - 175 kcal per 100 grams;
- dried squids - 286 kcal per 100 grams.
So, it is best (for the figure) to eat squid boiled or grilled, the second option, of course, is much more attractive - grilled squid are not only tastier than boiled, but even slightly less calories.
But dried squid, which, as we said above, are an excellent snack for beer, is very high in calories, and it is better not to abuse them, however, like beer.
By the way! Squid meat is very useful - it is even called "sea ginseng" for the content of huge amounts of vitamins and minerals.
