5 action stars of the 80s that are still jacked
The eighties were a magical time for action movies. Everything was bigger – the explosions, the cars, the guns, and especially, the actors. Far from the generic rent-a-six-pack so prevalent in recent comic book films, the biggest actors were working-class everymen withenormous bicepsand buckets of charisma.
Some of these actors have faded into obscurity, allowing their muscles to deflate along with their careers. But many of the brightest stars of the decade continued to (quite literally) grow from strength to strength. Here's a few 80s action stars who kept working out and, as a result, never lost their edge.

Jean-Claude Van Damme
The muscles from Brussels is still a force to be reckoned with. Whether he's creating introspective character films in the form of 2008'sJCVD, doing the splits between moving trucks or wrangling with Stallone as anExpendablesvillain, Van Damme's still working out like he's back in hisBloodsportheyday.
As a man who built his career on his body, Van Damme's not letting either go anytime soon.
Currently filmingEscape Plan 2while prepping for his legacy brainchildCreed 2, Stallone is showing no signs of slowing down in his 7th decade.
As this pilates video shows, Sly is doing more mobility work to keep himself in superb shape. Want to be able to do this at his age? Here's why mobility should be on every man's to-do list.
Stallone's one-time Russian rival and fellowExpendablesalum, Lundgren will next be seen playing King Nereus in the DC epicAquaman, alongside MH cover guy Jason Momoa. He's also in the gym getting jacked for Sly's latest project – a return to his most famous character, the villainous Ivan Drago, inCreed 2.

At 59 years young, Lundgren's still maintaining his Iron Curtain muscle along with the fitness he gained from his days as a kyukoshin karate black belt.
Okay, so he's not jacked as such, but when it comes to action movies, Chan is a name you can't leave out thanks to a career spanning 160 films. Famous for breaking every bone in his body, in the eighties theDrunken Masterstar could move like no-one else in the biz, thanks to a lifetime of kung-fu training and a knack for Chaplinesque physical comedy.

If the new trailer forThe Foreigneris any indication, Chan's still jumping off buildings and fighting off thugs after forty years of punishment.
Whether he's making waves in politics at home, taking up the current President's mantle as the face ofThe Apprenticeor masterminding his comeback to theTerminatorfranchise, the Governator will still be ubiquitous with bodybuilding. While he's no longer quite in Mr Olympia shape, Schwarzenegger is still hitting the gym.
