Black and Brown Hair

I know this post is already late for ABC Wednesday but since the linky is still up, I still can submit this post. Here goes my share:

I grew up in hut that was built near the sea so naturally my hair has hints of brown shade. It didn’t bother me back then but as time passed by, I longed to just have a black hair. Modernity then wrapped my world when I grew up by the approach of hair colors. It was said it could magically change our hair color into any color we want. My parents have tested and proven its magic several times. So I may say, they were the first to introduce it to me for it’s what they have used to cover their age through covering their white hairs with hair blackening dye.

I started using black hair dye since high school. Straight long black hair (as seen in the above photo), it’s what I like for my hair. While others apply different colors of hair dye to their hair, I simply love black hair. So once the original shade appears, I would at once reapply hair dye.

Asian Drama Addict is Still Awake

This is my share to ABC Wednesday which is now in its 9th round. I am lucky to be able to join the starting letter which is A.

Hit the banner to join!

Yes, I am an Asian drama addict particularly the Korean and Taiwanese ones and I am still awake at this hour. I just finished singing along with Hyun Bin’s That Man for I still couldn’t get over with the voice and the person behind it. That’s how addicted I am to Asian dramas.

My addiction to Asian dramas started 8 years ago with Meteor Garden and lead star Jerry Yan. Jerry Yan was then my first love. Lol! I was sweet 16 then and was in first year college taking BS Accountancy. Since my school was in the city, about an hour ride from home, I rented a room together with four roommates who obviously were crazy about Meteor Garden too as they were my age. I was fortunate enough to have rented in a room with room mates and house owner who shared the same interest with mine – Asian dramas. So every afternoon, after I am done in school, I would rush back to my boarding house to watch the daily episode of the drama with my room mates and landlady. I missed those days when we giggled together over the sweet scenes of Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai and threw swear words to Dao Ming Si’s controlling mother Daoming Feng.

Until now, my addiction is still unhealed. Instead, it had gotten worse. I like this kind of addiction though because it is fun and entertaining. I know some of you can relate for some of you are addicted to Asian dramas too.

What’s Your Name’s Hidden Meaning?

I took a fun quiz just a while ago since my mind went blank while facing the text box of this blog. I don’t why it always happens yet in the end I come up with a very long blog post.  Lol! I was thinking on what to blog but I couldn’t think of any topic to write about. Plus I was bothered by my sleepy eyes. For some reason my pair want to sleep this early although I got up late today. So what I did, I made a glass of coffee after dinner and now I am having my fifth cup for the day.

Back to the quiz I just played a while ago, it’s a quiz to know my name’s hidden meaning. It captured my curiosity! I quickly keyed in my name Rechie Ruth and here is the result.

You Are Carefree and Passionate
You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You’re always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can’t handle you. You’re very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you’re likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.

You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.

A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.

Success comes rather easily for you… especially in business and academia.

Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You’re a strong person.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It’s easy to get you excited… which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don’t stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.

And because you’re so lucky, you don’t really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life.

You’re sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless – and you have a lot of questions about life.

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You’re most comfortable when you’re far away from home.

You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

The first paragraph of the result is quite alarming for I don’t think I am the type of person that anybody can’t handle. I am just simple as opposed to being wild and intense. I like clean fun and dislike trouble except when provoked that’s why I turn trouble into something fun or stay away from trouble as much as I could. The rest of the paragraphs answered closely to my description. I totally agree of me being carefree and passionate. What about you? What’s Your Name’s Hidden Meaning?

I Am Crazy About That Man

As always…. with every leading man in every Asian drama I’ve watched. Lol!

I’ve been thinking on what interesting thing and personal experience I should share first in this blog but I always end up blank headed. My brain seems empty or maybe it’s not ready to sprout the little dark secrets of my life yet. Or maybe my thoughts are overridden by Hyun Bin and his song. I think so!

Yes, I am currently crazy over Hyun Bin and his voice in the song entitled That Man.  My craze for him started in the Korean drama Secret Garden that is currently aired on Philippine television channel GMA around 10 at night every weekdays. I didn’t like his look or makeover in the said drama at first for he looks like a neat and boyish brat.  I like Hyun Bin’s look better in KSS but later on after several episodes of Secret Garden, I got used to his boyish look with an eccentric character and even got-over-heels crazy about him.  When I found out later that he is also a singer and actually played a part in the drama’s official sound tracks, I become crazier that even right now while typing every blanks and letters in this post, I am listening to his voice in the background.

Here, I would like to share the song with you too. This is the song I’m talking about sung by Hyun Bin, the lead actor in Secret Garden shown in this song’s MV below. I hope you’ll enjoy it. The song has English subtitle so no worries about bleeding nose. Thank you so much to the person who uploaded this MV.

His voice as well as the song’s melody kept haunting me even in my sleep.  The song kept taking my attention away from my blogging tasks. My world suddenly stops at the moment I get to listen to this song. Well, call me an Asian drama addict for that’s what I am. As to when my craziness towards Hyun Bin and the this song stops, I don’t know.  For now, I crazy about them!

Now you just have an idea that I like ruggedly-handsome and authoritative-looking men just like my husband. Also, you just have an idea that I like men who can sing and that I always fall in love with every leading man in every Asian drama I’ve watched. What about you? Do you tend to fall in love or at least feel infatuated with a character in Asian dramas? Do you like Hyun Bin too? What can you say about the song and his voice?

I would like to share this song to:

Are You A December Born?

I was resizing my photos in my computer files last night when I bumped into this picture. I tried to recall where I got it from. If I am not mistaken, this was the screen shot of the result of one of those random quizzes I’ve taken in Facebook.

Answering quizzes and surveys is one great pastime I do online when there are no assignments to do or when I need a break from writing. I am sure many of you play these quizzes too. These stuffs are quite fun especially the ones that test our personally and give results that describe closely to who and what we are.  Although some results don’t fall favorably and exactly on our personal descriptions, we still do these quizzes just for the fun of it and for our curiosity to check how precise the results would be. In the end, it is still us, ourselves can tell who we are.

I agree to almost everything that’s written in the result as seen  on the picture above. I greatly agree on ambitious, short tempered but cheerful and vibrant and generous. I admit I aim on high and sometimes impossible things and rejoice once I reach them. Generosity runs in my nerves. This always put me in trouble because I can’t say no to the seekers of help and I am often left taken for granted. For me, it is very heartbreaking to say no to people who needs my help and seeing their sad and hopeless expressions because I know how hard it is to feel hopelessness. I tend to blame myself for not being able help. Short tempered? I raise my hands to that but I find time to be cheerful at things that make my days bright.

So now you know a bit about me and above all, you know which month my birthday falls. If you share the same birth month with me, do you agree to the characteristics  of a December born as written on the photo above? Do you have these traits?

Hello World Wide Web!

Hello everyone! Welcome to my newest online hang-out! Thanks to my sponsor Mabelle of www.888host.net for sponsoring a 1-year blog hosting service for this blog. Of course, thanks also to Techie She for hosting such awesome weekly meme where a lucky blogger get to to win awesome prize(s) at the end of the week.

Why Chie101? It’s the first thing that popped in my head while thinking of a new  domain at godaddy.com. I was in rush for I was expecting visitors during that time. Besides, I was still in awe due to the overwhelming news about me winning another blog hosting service. So after keying in the domain and setting the contract to 2 years and renewing old domain from godaddy.com, I then checked out. Honestly, this chosen domain had put me in deep thought and so as the plan for this new site.

But after thorough thinking, I decided to make this blog another personal blog that talks everything about my personal life, as the domain name says, from past to present. This would serve more likely as my online diary where I record the daily happenings of my life and those interesting stories of my past. I would share only those I am comfortable of sharing; they may be shocking, interesting and boring – I let you judge.

To those who have supported me in my other (old) pages in the world wide web, I do hope you’ll also support me in this fresh page.
